Ascot Review

Having stood for almost three hundred years, after being originally founded by Queen Anne, Ascot can be easily named as the most famous race course in Britain if not the world. Host to a number of prestigious and top-class National Hunt fixtures, with the Royal Meeting being held in highest regard. The four day event, held in June, is a display of the very best in the horse racing community. Prices vary from £10.00 to £42.00 depending on individual race days. Annual membership is available for £160.00 plus a £25.00 joining fee, however this excludes Royal Ascot.
17-25 year olds are exempt from the joining fee and pay the reduced price of £55.00. Children under 16 receive free admission however they must be accompanied by an adult.
 Entertainment Facilities
Ascot caters for visitors all year round with a wide variety of restaurants and bars with special viewing facilities from Membersí Enclosure, Grandstand and Parade Ring for disabled attendees. The Queen Anne rooms and the Ascot Pavilion are both places of comfort and historical elegance with the Pavilion overlooking the Grandstand Lawns. At the time of the Royal Meeting a number of private pavilions capable of holding 30 guests or more as well as tables at the Village Restaurant.

 Corporate Facilities
Ascot is capable of accommodating a large number of conference members with an indoor facility with a maximum capacity of 1200 members. For any larger groups, the whole course can be utilised in huge outdoor events. The two hospitality packages which Ascot offers both include Grandstand tickets, a 3 or 4 course meal, afternoon tea and a bar facility.  How to get there
Ascot is situated in woodland countryside, next to Windsor Great Park. To reach the course via road, take Junction 6 on the M4 if travelling from the East and Junction 10 from the West. From the M3 come off at Junction 3 and from the M25, Junction 13. The Racecourse lies to the west of the town on the A329. Car and coach parks are £5.00 per day. Car Park 6 is free however this is not so on Royal race days.
If you plan to visit by rail, there are trains from Waterloo every 30 minutes from which point there is a 7 minute walk to the course.
Those who wish to arrive by air, the course can accommodate helicopters only. A landing pad is available but prior permission must be received. For other aircraft. White Waltham Airfield is available and is 12 miles from the course and for those arriving from overseas, Heathrow Airport is just 15 miles away.
