Ayr Review

Playing host to 25 Nation Hunt and Flat fixtures, Ayr is known as the number one Scottish racecourse. The main attractions are the Scottish Grand National which is held in April and the Western Meeting held on the Flat in September, the prize being the Ayr Gold Cup. The horse’s stamina is pushed hard by the roughly one and a half mile round course, suiting those with long striding gallops, especially in rain-softened conditions.
