Cheltenham offers the supreme test for chasers and hurdlers and has been named the home of National Hunt racing. The three-day National Hunt Festival in March provides one of the world's greatest sporting spectacles featuring ten championship events. These include the Tote Cheltenham Gold Cup and the Smurfit Champion Hurdle. As well the Festival, Cheltenham also stages twelve other exciting racing events. The track itself is a challenge for a horse’s steel and strength.

The Panoramic Restaurant on level 5 of the Tattersalls Grandstand accommodates 300 people and reservations can be arranged on 01242 523203. The course staff are very hospitable to their younger punter with a crèche and entertainment provided for young children on the Sunday in November and New Year's Day and Evening meetings.
Disabled facilities are available in each enclosure for race viewing and also in areas of the Parade Ring although a reserved car park pass must be applied for or, for those who have them, the orange disabled pass is also accepted. Cheltenham also offers Gift Vouchers, which make ideal gifts for friends and family. The course is situated on the A435 north of Cheltenham five miles from the M5 turn off. Parking is free except at the NH Festival where car parking costs £5.00. For rail travellers a bus connection is provided between Cheltenham Spa Station and the racecourse two hours before the first race.
For those wishing to arrive via helicopter, a landing pad is available but only with prior permission.
