Located almost half a mile above sea level, Hexham is one of the most unique racecourses in the country. Particularly suited for local specialists, people have been racing in Hexham since 1738, which in many ways makes it almost as historic as nearby Hadrian’s Wall. Admission to the course is set at £12.00 for Members, £8.00 for Tattersalls and £5.00 for OAPs and Annual Membership is set at Single Membership for £95.00, Double Membership for £150.00 and a special price for O.A.P of just £75.00. Children under 16 are granted free admission.

The course offers a wide range of hospitality facilities to enjoy a meal or a drink from a light snack at the bar to a full meal in a private box.
Hexham has a lift and toilet facilities for the disabled in the Members Henderson rooms with admission being £12.00 per person. A Caravan site can also be found on the course.

Hexham offers the Henderson Room, which overlooks the Parade Ring and offers panoramic views of the course. The Henderson Room can hold up to 120 guests for a sit down meal and 180 for a finger buffet. The Enderby & Patterson private boxes on the top floor of the Ramshaw Stand can cater for 25 guests or combined with adjoining rooms for 60 guests. Marquees can be sited on the lawn for 100 to 400 guests. Hexham Racecourse can arrange a conference or meeting for 12 to 150 delegates. The racecourse is one and a half miles south-west of the town off the B6305 for those travelling by car. Car and coach parking is free of charge.
For rail travellers, a free bus to Hexham Station runs to and from the racecourse. A helicopter landing pad is available with prior permission for helicopters on the course. Newcastle Airport is the nearest airport to the course for those arriving from overseas.
