In addition to the traditional grass turf racecourse, used for both Flat and National Hunt events, Lingfield also has a polytrack that can be used in any weather conditions. Installed to replace the old 'equitrack' surface after numerous complaints, the project cost three million, and was completed in 2001. It also comes with a guarantee of usability down to -12*C, which should prevent a repeat of that embarrassing incident in the winter of 2000. With a course very similar to Epsom Downs, two of the Classic trials held here in early summer are felt to give strong hints for the races at Derby and Oaks, which usually ensure a strong turnout.

Admission is £16.00 to Members with the Grandstand priced at £13.00. Winter Admission is priced £12. Admission is free for children aged 16 years and under. Annual Membership costs £180.00 for Single memberships. This includes social membership for Lingfield Park golf and leisure club and reciprocal dates for other courses.

Lingfield has several corporate suites most of which overlook the racecourse. These can accommodate parties from 8 to 400 persons.
A popular venue for wedding receptions and ceremonies, the Pavillion Suite can hold up to 200 guests. Corporate days can also be enhanced by a "behind the scenes tour" with an expert to guide you. There are also suites available to hold wedding ceremonies from 70 to 200 people, with reductions for holding the reception at the racecourse.

The racecourse lies on the B2029, 21 miles outside London. From the North, it is accessible via the M25 at Junction 6 and then the A22. Car and coach parking is free except the Members Car Park on the Centre Course which is charged at £5.00 Lingfield Station. Helicopter landing at the course can be arranged with prior permission.
