Newmarket Review

For spring and autumn racing, Newmarket is the place to be. The Headquarters of British racing, Newmarket boasts the Rowley Mile, one of the fairest tracks in the world. Throughout this time of the year the track rarely rides soft when it host some premier events such as Champions Day in October, including two group 1 races, and the Sagitta 1000 and 2000 early in May.

The July Course comes to life for the summer season. A three-day carnival culminating with Europe’s leading 6-furlong sprint – the Darely July Cup is a highlight of summer racing. A summer evening spent at any or all of the six evening meetings is more than just racing, once the live entertainment and barbecue starts.
