Sandown Review

Home of the Coral-Eclipse and Betfred Gold Cup Weekend, Sandown hosts 26 events a year and is home to top class racing in terms of both Flat pattern racing and the National Hunt season. The steeplechase in particular is considered one of the most spectacular courses in the country, with some very challenging obstacles running down the length of the back straight. Hosting several charity events per year, many 'sundown days', as well as more professional races, Sandown offers a wide range of entertainment for both amateur and enthusiast race goer alike.

Admission is £20.00 to Members, £14.00 to Tattersalls and seats in the Centre Course are prices at £6.00 although prices do vary from meeting to meeting however children under the age of 16 are admitted free of charge at all times. Flat Season Annual Membership runs from April 2001 to October 2001 costing £135.00. The National Hunt Season Annual Membership runs from November to March at £80.00.
 Entertainment Facilities
Many fast food areas and cafes are located around the racecourse. The restaurant is in the Members Enclosure and reservations need to be booked in advance. Meals are approximately £36.00 per head. Family days are arranged throughout the year on busy race meetings. Car parking and toilet facilities are provided for disabled punters.
 Corporate Facilities
Sandown has a wide variety of boxes, suites and pavilions accommodating up to 400 guests. You can have a superb view of the racing action with all boxes and private suites offering balconies with views across the course. Sandown can cater for up to 550 delegates. Team Training Syndicate Rooms can hold up to 40 persons. The Esher Hall can cater for up to 1,000 delegates for a larger conference or AGM.
 How to get there
Sandown Park is just 10 minutes from the M25 giving easy access to the national motorway network. Car parking is free off Portsmouth Road. Centre of the Course parking is charged at £2.00. Hey, sorry I havenít been on Esher Station is within easy walking distance. Esher offers a 20-minute direct link to London Waterloo. Buses run regularly from Central London and Kingston Upon Thames. Helicopter landings on the course are permitted with prior permission. Heathrow and Gatwick airports are both 30 minutes by road and Courtesy coaches can be arranged to meet visitors arriving by air.
