The Southwell, principally known as an All-Weather track, boasts a handful of turf fixtures under both codes and an 18-hole golf course. The turf course attracts runners from many of the top yards. It is laid with fibresand, in which jumping is prohibited, so players rich with stamina will have the advantage over their competitors.

Admission is priced at Members pay £15.00; Tattersalls pay £8.00 Admission to the course for children under 16 is free. Annual Membership is available with Single Memberships price at £225.00 and Joint Memberships priced at £350.00

Southwell offer an A La Carte menu available in the Queen Mother Restaurant. The Pantry offers a delicious selection of homemade hot dishes, a cold meat salad buffet and desserts. It can be found next to the Owners and Trainers Bar. The Saddle Bar, situated at the far end of the Betting Hall, is fully licensed to serve alcohol and is a popular meeting spot before, during and after racing. This bar offers snacks and a full English breakfast is available. The Paddock Bar can be found at the opposite end of the Betting Hall to the Saddle Bar, the Paddock Bar also has a full license to serve alcohol. Situated within the Paddock Bar is the Paddock Carvery where hot pork and beef rolls are served as well as a range of other snacks.
A Fish & Chip Shop can be found beneath the Grandstand at the Tattersalls end of the course. During the summer an outdoor barbecue overlooking the paddock serves burgers and hot dogs. A park is on site for children to play. A disabled parking area is signposted from the main gate. To complement your day at the races Southwell offer superb facilities for a full day out that can include a round of golf at our 18 hole, par 70 Golf Course where a resident PGA professional is on hand for tuition.

Southwell's Hospitality Suites all have balconies overlooking the finishing straight that can cater for parties of up to 50 guests. For non-race day functions such as Conferences, Wedding Receptions, Banquets or private parties, the racecourse can tailor a package to suit your needs. The Queen Mother Suite lends itself well to functions as it comfortably holds 250 guests seated or 300 plus guests with a buffet table. Prices for functions depend on individual requirements. No hire charge will be made for the room if catering for 80 guests or more.

The racecourse is located just outside the village of Rolleston off the A617, between the M1 and A1. All car parking is free of charge. Southwell has parking facilities for 1000 vehicles.
Southwell Racecourse is served by its own railway station at Rolleston, which is adjacent to the course. Rolleston lies on the Nottingham to Newark line and is served by frequent trains from both stations. Helicopter landing at the course are permitted only with prior arrangement.
