What is
the rake?
Betfair Poker charges a small percentage of commission, called the rake,
on each pot. The rake is calculated based on 5% of the pot to a maximum
of 3 dollars/pounds/euros rounded down to the nearest 25 units. We take
no rake at all if the hand ends before the "flop" (no flop - no drop).
This structure would start raking games at the 5% rate as soon as there
is a flop in a game. The 5% rate applies to all tables regardless of
size, betting amount or currency.Rake would be based on the following
schedule:

Multi Table |
Multi Table Tournaments can be
the most exciting form of poker – nothing competes with the
thrill of getting to the final table of a big Tournament! In the
same way as Single Tables, everyone contributes to the pot, but
in a Multi Table, there is a much larger limit of entrants, with
the pot being split amongst the leading players.
The field is split into groups of 10 tables, as in Single Table
tournaments, but as people drop out of the games, the field is
whittled down and tables are merged to keep the action going.
The finale is the remaining 10 players – often with huge stacks
of chips – who work their way to the Final Table and compete for
considerable prizes.
The prizes paid out depend upon the number of people who enter,
but prizes for winning can be substantial when hundreds of
players are competing, and on occasions the prize may be for
entry into big offline events – which could be your chance to
sit down with the big names of World Poker! |
